The "TheGodThings Technology Company" invented the printer looked like a cube named Princube in 2019. This portable printer allows users to print color text, logo, color, and others on various materials like paper, cardboard, leather, metal, plastic, textile, skin, wood, and others. This Princube provides a convenient, fast, and cheap printing experience by using a computer or mobile phone with Bluetooth or Wifi technology. 

 

Around the 14th century, from the invention of printing technology like the Gutenberg printing press in Germany and the Jikjisimcheyojeol printing press in Korea, the printing technology has developed continuously (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, 2001). This printing technology which contributes to the growth of the pressing and publishing industry has enlightened people with disseminating knowledge. The printing press has developed into the typewriter, inkjet printer, laser printer, multi-function printer, and others. Therefore, Princube also expected to change the world and industry by encouraging the creative production of individual users and businessmen. By expanding the possibility of printer which was only possible with huge printing equipment like screening printers and laser printer which cost high traditionally, this product will allow people to make more fancy and unique products and designs and also allow the company to expose their brand logo more easily by letting them print their symbols without the high cost of the screen or laser printing. With this invention, more people can print what they want and make customized and unique products like t-shirts, bags, tumblers, and others by themselves.  

 

Currently, this Princube has received funds from 28,902 investors around 4574057.62 dollars only on the Indiegogo platform and grow rapidly compared to its short history. However, still, this product is not general as other inkjet printer and only used by innovators and some early adopters, considering the trait of millennials who pursue unique and individuality differentiate with others, this product may have wide demand for Generation Y and Z. Also, marketers, small business owners, sole-proprietorship owners, and others can be a profitable target market. Those small size companies who want to produce their product minimally and save money from printing what they want by themselves for small quantities of products which only available by bulk printing service from printing factories initially would want this product.

 

However, this invention still has a margin to be improved in its quality and price. Though this product uses a cheap ink cartridge, which is generally use in other inkjet printers, the price of princube is expensive from 199 dollars to 398 dollars. Also, it has several product weaknesses like frequent ink dry, long and irritating process of sending a file from mobile phones or computers to the princube. However, from the perspective of its innovativeness, this invention is expected to let people print more pictures, text, logos, codes, and files more conveniently, fast, and portable in the future.
